Methodology

Methodology

The EQUAL Ireland Learning Approach places you at the centre of an adult learning experience.

This incorporates:

  • Work and or community based learning
  • A combination of:
    • Traditional workshops led by a qualified tutor. [The schedule of workshops and their duration e.g. Full Day or Half Day are decided by the Learners so as to best suit their everyday needs]
    • Facilitated small study groups of 3 or 4 people
    • Online Learning and
    • Independent study

Supports

Supports

Your learning experience will be supported by:

  • Personal Learning Modules for each subject using a Distance Learning Format
  • Specialist tutors and local mentor assistance who, where appropriate and between workshops, will support you via phone, email or directly as required.

Assessment

Assessment

You will be expected in most cases to demonstrate your learning for assessment through the completion of assignments and ongoing project work. Expert feedback on early drafts of your assignments will assist you in their successful and satisfactory completion.

Flexible Learning

Flexibility

You will find that our less rigid approach offers you, as the learner, great flexibility and independence while retaining the support and sense of community often associated with the more traditional classroom based courses.
