EQUAL Ireland, building on earlier Letterfrack success, is back again offering a new and really useful accredited education programme. It is aimed at developing local enterprise/ community management and development skills which will improve employment opportunities for the participants in and around Letterfrack and of course further afield.
FORUM CONNEMARA AND GR-ETB(?) SUPPORT
Practical, financial and enthusiastic support from Forum Connemara and Galway Roscommon Education and Training Board (formerly Galway County VEC) speaks volumes about the value of the programme and without their support the truth is the programme would probably not be happening.
THE REAL PLAYERS – LOCAL PEOPLE LEARNING
Important, indeed vital, as the support of the agencies almost always is, it is completely dwarfed by the real players, those local people who are graduating from the earlier EQUAL Ireland introductory Programme. the Essential Skills Certificate (Workplace Community and Education) rightly demanded and have gotten a clear road forward to a full degree programme delivered locally and why not?. EQUAL Ireland can and EQUAL Ireland will deliver (with the help of local people and the pro active Government agencies mentioned above)!
